QIm not sure what the problem is or what it is but its worrying me?

Call our office, our staff are incredibly friendly and professional and if the office staff cant help they will pass a message to our technician in your area and he will be able to talk to you and help….no charges for a chat!

QWhat areas do you cover ?

For domestic and commercial pest control we cover the following counties ; Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Rutland, Peterborough, Fenland and Warwickshire but we are expanding so its always worth asking.

QWhat do you charge ?

If you look at our local authority page on the tool bar you will see our list of charges for Harborough District council and Peterborough City Council . If you live outside these areas we will usually charge the same rate except the concessionary rates which are only applicable and negotiatied specifically for those councils residents. There may be a small surcharge if we have to travel some distance to you.

QWhat about chickens and rodenticides ?

Our baits also come in wax formulations making it safe to put in and around chicken runs without tempting the birds.

QI have got pets and small children and don’t want you to use rodent poison can you help ?

All the rodenticides we use today have a product called Bitrex impregnated into our baits. Rodents don’t have any sense of taste so cannot detect it.  Humans,  cats, dogs, , farm animals etc cannot bear it and it stimulates the gagging reflex http://www.bitrex.com/index.php?page=home&hl=en_US As a consequence and since its introduction into pesticides and rodenticides accidental poisoning of humans and animals have been practically eliminated. If you are still uncomfortable we will put all our rodent baits in lockable plastic boxes to make sure little fingers cant get into them.

QI have rats in my roof space/cavity walls/under floorboards why?

This is often caused by broken drains under or beside the house. Rats are incredible at burrowing and they can expoite the tiniest of gaps in a sewage pipe under the house. Many houses settle as they age with the ground beneath drying out over the years. This can often cause plastic drain pipes to ease out of joints and sockets leaving a big enough gap for rats to escape. Older clay glazed pipes can crack or collapse over time. Other reasons can be a new extension over old drains that were not designed to bear the weight, disused branch pipes incorrectly capped off, or not sealed at all, manholes covered over and collapsing under new patios or decking. There are numerous ways this can happen and we have seen them all! The easiest solution over costly CCTV Surveys or digging up floors and gardens is to fit a rat exclusion device (see rats & mice page) which will exclude the rats from your entire domestic system thus preventing them from finding the defect in the first place. Result…No more rats ! Call us for advice it is not expensive and often as cheap or cheaper than a CCTV Survey let alone a repair.
